Visit Dario’s Steakhouse & Seafood For An Uptown Brunch In The Heart Of Cypress
Enjoy an “uptown” weekend brunch at Dario’s Steakhouse & Seafood! While Dario’s is known as an exceptional establishment for fine dining — one of the few such restaurants in the area — its brunch in Cypress is fun and family-friendly. The midday menu is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are cocktail specials, too, for an extra-festive experience. Make reservations online for dine-in, or order for pickup or delivery for a relaxing weekend.
General manager Art Navarrete has been with Dario’s since it opened in April 2009, and encourages guests to try his favorite dish, which is even named for him: Art’s Red Snapper. “The snapper is lightly breaded and nicely browned, and I love the green beans, mushrooms and artichokes that come alongside,” he explained. “It also comes with mashed potatoes and a brown butter sauce on top.” While Art’s Red Snapper is only on the brunch menu, guests can also order it for lunch or an off-menu special. “If the ingredients are in the kitchen, we’ll make anything at any time,” he says.
Choose from a variety of additional exceptional dishes, such as the following house favorites, and complete your brunch with drip or espresso-based coffees and a well-priced cocktail. Bloody Marys made with housemade mix are $7 and Mimosas are just $5 each and available in orange, cranberry, pineapple and grapefruit.
Chicken Fried Steak with Waffle
A twist on tradition, this variation includes an eight-ounce, tender top sirloin steak dredged in batter made with heavy cream, demi-glace and poultry seasoning, and fried until golden. It is finished with rich pepper gravy, and sides of garlic whipped potatoes and a half buttermilk Belgian waffle topped with whipped cream, strawberries and syrup.
These decadent corn tortilla enchiladas are filled with crabmeat and brightened with gently spicy poblano peppers, zippy bell peppers and onions. They are finished with a warm-and-creamy chipotle sauce and topped with field greens and a pan-sautéed jumbo shrimp. Sides include breakfast potatoes and two poached eggs.
Steak & Eggs Benedict or Smoked Salmon Benedict
Choose from two creative Benedicts: steak or smoked salmon. Each includes a toasted English muffin, two perfectly poached eggs and a side of breakfast potatoes. Additionally, the steak option comes with a choice of hollandaise sauce or brandy chipotle sauce, and the salmon version includes hollandaise and asparagus.
This customer favorite is the way to go if you can’t choose between breakfast and lunch! It includes a hearty, 10-ounce Akaushi beef patty topped with bacon, a fried egg, grilled onions, provolone cheese and avocado all tucked into a soft challah bun. It comes with breakfast potatoes alongside in lieu of French fries.
Dario’s presentation of this classic breakfast staple includes three thick slices of French baguette soaked in heavy cream, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and rum and cooked until just set. It is finished with cinnamon-powdered sugar and is served with two poached eggs and fruit.
While there is not a printed kids menu, the restaurant is happy to create pint-sized orders of chicken and waffles, chicken fingers, fettuccine Alfredo, burgers, mac and cheese and more to keep the little ones happy. Additional items are available a la carte, too, such as eggs, applewood bacon, sausage and fruit fruit for $5 or less.
“Dario’s is one of the finest restaurants in Texas,” says Art with pride. “Everything is cooked to order. Everything is fresh and tasty. Nothing is frozen or pre-made. There’s no reason to drive farther or pay more for great quality. Dario’s is the best.”
