In addition to Tacos A Go Go staples, such as a variety of tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the new Greenway location also has a coffee program and expanded bar list. Photo by Rebecca Wright.
Long-running Tacos A Go Go has opened its fifth location near Greenway Plaza at 3773 Richmond, and the company is trying something new. Actually, there are several fresh features, including corn and flour tortillas freshly made onsite (a local tortilleria delivers daily to other locations), coffee cocktails and the largest patio of all its locations. In addition, this is also serving as the new home of sister concept Fajitas A Go Go, which formerly had its own brick-and-mortar on Kirby. Customers can order from either restaurant menu at the counter. (Fajitas can also be ordered online for pickup or delivery via Uber Eats.)
The new location, which occupies the space that once housed a Jenni’s Noodle House, has enough room to play in.Β βWeβre excited to try new things at this location,β said Sharon Haynes via press release, who founded Tacos A Go Go along with chefΒ Maribel Gomez. βWeβre calling this our βtaco labβ β weβll be experimenting with new drinks, new happy hour specials and new monthly tacos, along with fresh tortillas and a big patio space.β About that big patio: it’s 2,200 square feet and can seat up to 100.

To accompany the breakfast tacos β which are served all day β there’s a coffee bar serving espresso drinks, such as lattes,Β cappuccinos and Mexican-style coffees.
Espresso and coffee make appearances in the new cocktail program, too. There’s a classic Carajillo, or espresso with Liquor 43 served over ice and TAGG Horchata Latte with housemade horchata, espresso and Abasolo Mexican whiskey. Those who want something decadent and boozy might also consider Spiked Hot Chocolate with Crema de Alba and Espolon tequila. Other cocktails debuting on the drink list include Perfect Patron Margarita, Pineapple Serrano Margarita and Rum-Chata.
Weekday happy hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. (all day on Taco Tuesdays) and features $2 off cocktails and $1 off all beers. During all-day happy hour on the weekends, pitchers of beer, margaritas, palomas, mimosas and bloody marys are half-price. There are also monthly taco specials.
This location is also making use of a an additional ordering system. Customers can use their mobile devices to order and pay for additional tacos, sides and drinks, and the food will be brought to their tables.
There’s plenty of free parking in the garage; the entrance is at Cummins and and Portsmouth. Curbside pickup is available, too β just park in one of the designated spaces.
