Enjoy Mother’s Day Dinner at Rainbow Lodge

While going out for Mother’s Day brunch is certainly popular, that doesn’t work for everyone’s schedule. If dinner is more your style, make reservations now for the historic Rainbow Lodge at 2011 Ella. The incredibly spacious log cabin that houses the restaurant is over 100 years old and a perfect, beautiful place to treat Texan moms! Seating includes intimate booths, quiet tables and spacious dining rooms to accommodate any party size. Each area is tastefully decorated with a heavy nod to the outdoors — which means character abounds in every corner.

As we say, “We’re wild about Sundays.” Reservations for Mother’s Day dinner are available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. when we offer executive chef Mark Schmidt’s full selection of dishes. That’s also the night for half-price wines by the glass and the $15 Sunday Supper featuring a weekly comfort food dish by Executive Chef Mark Schmidt. Dinner favorites include starters of Fried Texas Quail Bites with White Cheddar Grits and Bourbon Bacon Gravy and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Bacon, Green Onion and Creole Mustard Butter.
Traditional entrées include Rainbow Trout with Lump Crab and Pecan Brown Butter and Grilled Beef Tenderloin. For a more exotic meal, try the Wild Game Mixed Grill with chili rubbed venison and elk, Texas quail, and wild boar chop or South Texas Nilgai Antelope Loin. In addition, this week’s Sunday Supper is bright and flavorful Orecchiette Pasta tossed with shrimp “scampi” and soft herbs from our kitchen garden.

What’s a celebration without dessert? Our list has you covered with fruit-forward treats like Lemon Ice Box Pie and Strawberry & White Chocolate Semifreddo or the sinful Chocolate Tiramisu.

Let us serve you a meal to remember!
