Texas Bartenders Featured at Upcoming Women’s Month Charity Dinner in the Heights

Houston diners will have a chance to eat and drink for charity at the 3rd Annual Women’s Month Charity Dinner, hosted by Samantha Tisci at Harold’s in the Heights at 350 West 19th on March 30 from 7 to 10 p.m. Tisci is currently serving as the Education Chair of the Houston Area Chapter of the United States Bartenders’ Guild.
The four-course dinner and cocktail event will feature prominent women working in the Texas hospitality industry, in addition to highlighting female-owned or -distilled spirits. Proceeds from the sales are going towards the Houston Area Women’s Center and AVOW, a Texas charity for reproductive rights.
Featured bartenders will be Chris Carter with She Mixes Bartending for Uncle Nearest Whiskey, Tiffany Kirk from The Toasted Coconut for Hendrick’s Gin, Veronica Flores from the newly opened Equipment Room in Austin for Appleton Estate Rum, and longtime Houston bartender Kristine Nguyen from Captain Foxheart’s Bad News Bar for Tequila Herradura. The drinks will also feature syrups from local company Levels of Grandeur, co-owned by Chuan Liu. There will also be a raffle for a custom hat from JJ’s Hats by Jennifer, a local, woman-owned business, with proceeds going toward the charities benefiting from the event.
Guests who arrive early will be treated to a complimentary wine reception starting at 6 p.m., with wines from woman-owned Flowers Vineyards and Winery and Riboli Family Wines.
