The ultimate tequila event of the summer is taking place this Saturday in downtown H-Town. This Saturday, June 24, the Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting Tour is coming to Market Square Tower, located at 777 Preston in downtown Houston. The Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting is a event by Food & Vine Time Productions, the same organization that puts on the long-running, annual Wine & Food Week in The Woodlands and the Katy Sip N Stroll.

At the Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting, you’ll sip and savor tequila, mezcal and sotol from not only smaller brands such as 400 Conejos, Dos Hermanos and 21 Seeds, but also familiar favorites such as Tequila Don Julio, Jose Cuervo and Milagro Tequila. Also expect cocktail tastings and a charity party wagon raffle with proceeds going towards Second Chances Foundation.

Sponsors include Houston’s premier grocer H-E-B, which is offering an Gourmet Nacho Bar to ensure guests can get the kind of cheese, meats and veggie toppings they prefer. Other local Houston food businesses, such as Harold’s Restaurant & Tap Room, Soto’s Cantina, HTX Nitro Creamery, Bundt Cake-A-Holic and others are offering tastings as well, so everyone should have something tasty to munch on between sips. For those looking for a break from the agave spirits, ice-cold craft beer will also be on hand.

In addition, there are opportunities to learn more about agave spirits. Experts from 21 Seeds Tequila will guide attendees through a crash course on all-things-tequila, as well as mezcal and sotol.
