Perry’s Steakhouse Wants Fans to Post Praise for a Chance at Free Pork Chops — Updated

5/15/2019, 8:17 a.m.: This promotion is now in the second entry period, which runs through July 2019. A third chance happens later in the year.

Three lucky (and slightly shameless) Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille fans are going to win a year’s worth of Friday pork chop lunches. Specifically, to mark its 40th anniversary, the company is giving away 52 “Pork Chop Friday” lunch gift cards that are redeemable on Fridays between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at any Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille location. The homegrown Houston steakhouse chain is giving away this prize three times in 2019.

In order to win, though, competition hopefuls must go all out and reveal their Perry’s love publically on either Facebook or Instagram. To be considered, the post must be to a personal page and have one of the following sentimental messages: “words of congratulations or personal well wishes for Perry’s 40th year,” “a favorite Perry’s memory” or “a favorite Perry’s dish.” In addition, the poster should tag @PerrysSteakhouse on Instagram or @PerrysDining on Facebook and use the hashtag #PerrysTurns40. Three contest periods are going to be scheduled in 2019 with the first running from now through March 29. Entries don’t carry over to the next competition period.

Participants should note that by posting, Perry’s may reuse the content in its marketing. The press release reads, “Perry’s reserves the right to use and repost messages, photos and video submissions.”

Perry’s Steakhouse long has been known for its “Pork Chop Fridays.” For only $14.95, diners can get a slightly smaller version of the dinnertime pork chop with whipped potatoes and housemade applesauce alongside. The chop is rubbed with a spice blend before roasting, topped with herb-garlic butter and carved tableside. Translated, that makes the total prize value $777.40 and diners likely need to plan on covering drinks and gratuity.

The very best pork chop you will ever hope to eat. It is super flavorful and best of all tender and moist. You will never have this “Pork Chop Experience” anywhere else in the world.
