Hubcap Grill Announces Opening Date For IAH Location

After months of anticipation, Ricky Craig has set a date for when travelers through George Bush Intercontinental Airport can sink their teeth into a juicy Hubcap Grill burger.

Craig posted on social media that November 17 is the big day. The airport location will feature more than just the renowned burgers—which range from over-the-top ones like the Hangover Burger (covered in bacon, grilled ham, American cheese, fries and country cream gravy) to simple and well-executed cheeseburgers.

“We’ll have the same fries,” said Craig, “but also salads, milkshakes and adult booze milkshakes! Plus, we’ll have “grab and go” stuff and a nice breakfast menu.

The announcement falls closely on the heels of the grand opening of Craig’s fourth Hubcap Grill location in his former Harborside Mercantile spot in Galveston at 2021 Strand. Unlike the other sites in downtown Houston, The Heights and Kemah, the one in Galveston also sells cocktails. Craig says it’s been very busy since opening at the end of October.

Hubcap Grill’s airport location is in Terminal A at 2800 North Terminal Road and will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
