Where to Celebrate & Get Deals on 713 Day in Houston

713 Day, Houston’s favorite unofficial holiday, is a day when the city’s vibrant food, drink and entertainment scene gears up to celebrate in style. Every year on July 13 (aka 7/13), Houstonians come together to toast the Bayou City with special deals, discounts and events that showcase the spirit of H-Town pride and community.
This year, 713 Day falls on a Sunday. It’s also a little poignant, because we can’t forget our neighbors in 830 — Kerr County. So, this year, some businesses are making 713 do double-duty both as a celebration and a day to fundraise for flood relief.
From historic institutions to trendy eateries, we’ve rounded up the top spots to celebrate 713 Day in Houston, where you can score delicious eats, drinks and more.
Multiple Locations
Duck N Bao: As if comforting Peking duck, soup dumplings and Sichuan Cuisine weren’t enticing enough for Houstonians on any day of the year, for 713 Day the Memorial and Rice Village locations of this small chain of local restaurants is offering 14 different cocktails from the Fun & Relaxed section of its beverage menu for just $7.13. This includes the Azalea Margarita, Singapore Sling, lychee martini, Love At First Sight with gin, vodka, pomegranate syrup, sweet and sour mix, Sprite and lemon and more. Through the end of July, all three Duck N Bao locations will also be donating $1 from every order of pork soup dumplings to Mercy Chefs, a faith-based, non-profit disaster and humanitarian relief organization, to provide relief to Texas flood victims.
Hungry’s: Drop into any location of this Houston restaurant, which has been in business for over 50 years, order an entrée and get a complimentary order of hummus for 713 Day.
Pizaro’s Pizza, 1000 West Gray and 11177 Katy Freeway: Both the Montrose and Memorial locations of this notable pizzeria, founded in 2011 by Bill Hutchinson and now run by his daughter, Nicole, are offering a 713 pizza deal. Get the classic Neapolitan-style Margherita pizza for only $7.13. That’s a big deal, as it normally costs $17.50. The special is available for in-person and phone orders only; mention “713 Day” to get the deal. Pizaro’s is open on Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

WILD, 2121 North Shepherd and 1609 Westheimer: Both the Heights and Montrose locations of this bar and dispensary are offering two specialty cocktails for $7.13. One is Still Sippin’ with Maker’s Mark 101, Four Roses Single Barrel, maple and bitters and the other is Purple Rain with Rémy Martin, coconut, ube, butterfly pea tea, pineapple, clarified citrus and Topo Chico. If you need to start early or end late, both locations open at 8 a.m. and close at midnight.
Downtown/Midtown
Axelrad, 1517 Alabama: The popular beer garden is partnering with Chicano Boulevard for a 713 Day celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 13. The event includes multiple food and retail vendors, a photo pop-up by Old Man Mikey, live art from MEENR, a live musical performance by Grimm and DJ sets by The Mexican Blackbird, Loso, Felipe Galvan, Firme Funk and Isaac Rodriguez. There will also be slabs and lowriders parked in the garden for your viewing pleasure.
Doves Restaurant, 3101 Main: Show your H-Town pride at this Midtown eatery with an all-day happy hour on Sunday, July 13, starting at 11 a.m. Guests are encouraged to show off their Houston pride by sporting their favorite sports team gear. Doves is serving up its signature Southern cuisine with an Asian twist, featuring brunch dishes such as crab cake and salmon Benedict and Tempura Dixie Peach French Toast alongside colorful cocktails including The Dove, a sweet concoction of vanilla vodka, bourbon cream, and cotton candy, and the Houston-inspired Land Of The Trill with Ghost Tequila, triple sec, Scrappy’s Bitters Fire Tincture and lime.
Meow Wolf Houston & Saint Arnold Brewing Company, 2103 Lyons and 2000 Lyons: The two Lyons Avenue destinations are hosting a 713 Day Block Party from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 13 in partnership with Do713. The free, all-ages event includes complimentary Popston pops, giveaways, exclusive merchandise from GONZO247 and Caitlin Caselli and a Space City Market featuring Houston-based artists and makers. DJ MLE is performing at Meow Wolf while a mariachi band performs at Saint Arnold.
The Savoy, 4402 Emancipation: This neighborhood bar and hookah lounge in the Historic Third Ward is celebrating 713 Day with $7 specialty cocktails, including fan favorites like Purple Drank and Candy Paint, as well as $13 food specials including lamb empanadas, chicken fried rice, wings with your choice of pancake, waffle or French toast and more. This Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 13, The Savoy is hosting mechanical bull riding contests each day at 7:13 p.m. with a $713 cash prize to be awarded to first place on 713 Day!
Solarium, 820 Holman: The new pickleball and padel facility with an onsite restaurant and bar is donating $1 from every Purple Drank cocktail to Mercy Chefs, which is part of the flood relief efforts in Kerr County. Also, Sam and Davy will be onsite selling T-shirts, and those profits are also being donated.
Taste Kitchen + Bar, 420 Main: In celebration of 713 Day, this three-story eatery, recently patronized by Beyoncé and her family, is throwing an all-day celebration beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 13. The restaurant’s full menu of chef Don Bowie’s brunch and Southern soul dishes will be available throughout the day, paired with $7.13 frozen drinks and a trio of 713 Day specialty cocktails crafted specifically for the occasion. This includes the Screwed Up Smash with blackberry, mint, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey and lemon, the Lavender Rita with reposado tequila, lime, agave, blueberry and lavender, and a Screwtown Punch — a layered refreshment built with aged rum, orange juice and passion fruit with a floater of Blue Curaçao. These fun and fruity drinks will be served in Custom Taste Styrofoam Double Cups which guests can take home.
East Houston
Houston Food Bank, 535 Portwall: For those looking for something fun and fulfilling, on Sunday, July 13, the East Branch building of the Houston Food Bank complex is hosting a 713 Day Volunteer Shift from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Houston-themed event begins with complimentary doughnuts donated by Voodoo Doughnut. Once the work is done, volunteers are invited to take part in a celebration of the Bayou City with food, Flash Party Photo Booth opportunities, music by Houston-based DJ Bloom and the Astros’ 2017 and 2022 Championship trophies! Radio station 97.9 The Box will be onsite, as well as vendors including Exotic Pop, Chingona Picosita Candies and Ben & Jerry’s. Limited edition 713 Day shirts will be available for purchase with 100% of the proceeds going to Houston Food Bank, and attendees who bring donations to the event can also enter raffles to win exclusive prizes. New and returning volunteers can register online.
Heights
Heights Bier Garten, 1433 North Shepherd: For 713 Day, this Heights favorite for cold brews is doing a good deed. It will donate all proceeds from the sales of Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny beer to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. The fund is overseen by The Community Foundation, a non-profit, and will be used for recovery and rebuilding.
Kazzan Ramen & Bar, 191 Heights Boulevard: The restaurant known for its unique ramen style with thick noodles and vegetables served in a 350° Celsius hot stone bowl has a $7.13 cocktail for 713 Day. Called the Ube Bae, it includes awamori (an ancient Japanese spirit made from long-grain indica rice and black koji), Batavia Arrack, ube, guava, lime, nutmeg and purple yam.
River Oaks
Fielding’s River Oaks, 3750 Westheimer: This is one of the newer classy eateries in River Oaks, and for 713 Day it’s offering happy hour pricing on brunch-time cocktails. Enjoy half-price cocktails, $3 off wines by the glass and $2 off beers alongside brunch entrées such as Lemon Cream Cheese Pancakes topped with maple butter and Dutch honey syrup, and Eggs Benedict with peppered bacon, caramelized onions and hollandaise. Ouisie’s Table, 3939 San Felipe: This River Oaks institution will join the city’s festivities for 713 Day by offering its entire Sunday brunch cocktail menu and appetizer selection at a special price point of $7.13 per item, available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The promotion includes popular cocktails like the Perfect Peach Bellini and signature dishes such as Shrimp and Crab Tower, a half dozen East Coast oysters on the half shell, crispy calamari, Gulf crab cakes and a Stilton salad. Additionally, Ouisie’s has crafted six new Houston-inspired cocktails for the celebration, including the Astros Home Rum and the Galleria Gulp, all priced at $7.13.
EaDo/East Side
Giant Texas Distillers, 5610 Clinton: The largest distillery west of the Mississippi is hosting 713 Day Fest from 1 to 8 p.m. The event includes Houston-inspired cocktails, a live musical performance by O.G. Point Blank and music curated by DJ MarcG, slabs and lowriders on display, live art by Space City Art Kreations, Houston Lotería, raffles and giveaways and numerous local food and retail vendors. Entry is free; parking costs $10.
Uptown/Galleria Area
The Original Ninfa’s Uptown, 1700 Post Oak: This newer location of the classic Tex-Mex restaurant is celebrating 713 Day with two discounted customer-favorites. Get an order of chile con queso with totopos or a Ninfarita for only $7.13 each plus tax and gratuity. On Sundays, The Original Ninfa’s Uptown serves brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the regular menu until 10 p.m.
Rice Village/West University
Norigami’s Hidden Bar, 2715 Bissonnet: The speakeasy tucked inside restaurant Norigami is offering up a cocktail called Side the Sunrises for only $7.13 only on 713 Day. It’s a mix of butterfly pea tea — infused gin, yuzu, cucumber and shiso. Hidden Bar’s hours on Sunday are from 3 p.m. to midnight.
Washington Avenue
Bayou Heights Biergarten, 3905 Washington: This casual hangout is putting 713 Day to good use. All proceeds from every Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny beer sold will be donated to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which will be critical for the recovery and rebuilding effort.
