Food and Drink Deals — and Brunches — for Black Friday Through Cyber Monday in Houston
This year, Black Friday might look a lot less like a midnight stampede at a big box store and more like lazy, in-bed cybershopping. Whichever turns out to be true, Black Friday shoppers still need sustenance. Here are some options.
8th Wonder Brewery + Distillery, 2202 Dallas: The popular spot for local beers and spirits just debuted some super-cute beer glasses with an “ugly sweater” motif. A set of four is normally $25, but if you buy a pint in the taproom for Black Friday weekend, get $5 off. In addition, packaged beer, bottled spirits and branded merchandise is 20% off through Cyber Monday, November 20. (Check out the new patterned, chambray button-down shirt.) If shopping online, use promo code: BLACKFRIDAY20. For 18% off of gift card purchases, use code 18OFF.
Gulf Coast Distillery, 5610 Clinton: From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 27, diners can get 25% off food and merchandise, making this a terrific shop-and-snack option. There’s a great collection of items that not only showcase Texas brewing and distilling pride, but accessories such as giant tasting glasses for those who want to bring a tasting room experience home.
The Oceanaire, 5061 Westheimer: Relax over an icy, refreshing platter of oysters. On Black Friday, the chef’s selection is half-priced from open to close.
