The annual Katy Sip ’n Stroll benefitting local charity The Ballard House returns for its 17th year on Saturday, April 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. It’s at Villagio Town Center, located at 22758 Westheimer Parkway in the Cinco Ranch area.

As always, there is going to be plenty to eat and drink thanks to participating restaurants, wineries and breweries. Tickets can be purchased online. General admission is $35 ($40 at the door); VIP tickets are already sold out. All attendees receive a keepsake wine glass.

The festival beneficiary, The Ballard House, offers no-cost housing for patients and their families who are receiving treatment for a life-threatening illness in the Greater Houston area. According to a press release, the Katy Sip ‘n’ Stroll has raised over $280,000 to date for The Ballard House.

A few participating restaurants have already revealed what they plan to serve at the event. Phat Eatery is offering attendees Kerabu Prawn with green papaya-mango salad in a sweet-spicy Nyonya sauce. Alicia’s Mexican Grille is planning on beef and chicken tacos with red and green salsa. Dish Society is serving a deconstructed, small-bite take on its popular barbecue brisket-stuffed sweet potato and Tobiuo is going to have marinated pork and chicken yakitori.

Wines from Alexander Valley Vineyards, Becker Vineyards, Bogle, Duckhorn Vineyards and Justin are just a few of the more than 150 selections from which to try. There is also a restaurant competition called the Premier Culinary Awards and a wine pull. In addition, there are live performances by The Robert Hartye Band (Aruba Tourism Courtyard Stage), Kristen Hart (Street Stage) and Gabe Montoya (The Alley Stage).
