This year, let Pearland restaurants take the labor out of Thanksgiving, with options ranging from full meals to à la carte starters, meats, sides and desserts. We’ve even added a few catering options from Pearland small businesses, so you can support budding local producers while dining on delicious fare. Big Horn BBQ, 2300 Smith Ranch Road: Simplify Thanksgiving dinner with Holiday Meals and à la carte options. Choose original or Cajun turkey that each come with a dozen dinner rolls, cranberry sauce and choice of two sides such as dressing and gravy or sweet yams. The meals cost $149.99 and feed eight to 10 people. You can also order individual turkeys (limited availability) that feed 5 to 10 people and cost $59.99, single sides that cost $22.99 and $41.99 depending on the size, and cranberries starting at $12.99. Whole pies are available in pecan or pumpkin and cost $16.99 each. Place orders in person for pick up November 14 through 23, with individual turkeys available for pick up on Thanksgiving day.

The Box Bakery and Kitchen, 1130 Broadway: Don’t let the “bakery” in the name fool you — this family-owned business serves house-smoked meats and specialty sides, too. Choose from two meal options for Thanksgiving, available for preorder. Meal Option 1 includes one meat choice, a choice of three sides, one dessert and dinner rolls. It serves 10 to 12 and costs $225. Meal Option 2 includes two meat choices, four sides, two desserts and dinner rolls. It serves 15 to 20 people and costs $300. Meat selections are smoked turkey or smoked ham, and sides are Andouille Sausage Dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn and mac and cheese. Desserts are pecan, pumpkin or chocolate pecan pie.

There are à la carte options, too, including pan-size sides for $50, charcuterie boards starting at $75 and plenty of desserts such as carrot cake, dessert board, cookie tray, ready-to-bake cinnamon rolls and keto pies. Chef Eddie’s: Order traditional Thanksgiving dishes to feed a crowd. Mains include 10 meat and seafood selections that cost $100 to $125 for half-pans and $180 to $225 for full pans. Choose from turkey legs, stuffed chicken, baked or smoked salmon, oxtails, pot roast and more. There are 10 sides that cost $65 to $76 for half-pans and $125 to $140 for full pans. Options include candied yams, corn bread, collard greens, dirty rice, mac ‘n’ cheese and either traditional or seafood dressing. Finish with three desserts: Brookies (brownie/cookie combo), Turtle Brownies or sweet potato pie. To order, call Eddie McMillian at (832) 609-7790 by November 21 for pick up by November 23. FALU Sweet Treats: Keep dinner guests satisfied all the way through dessert with specialty goods from this local bakery. Fans love the intricate cakes, cookies and other delights prepared by owner and baker Danitza Delgado. Thanksgiving specials include hot cocoa bombs, cookie cakes, pumpkin pie cakes and assorted decorated cookies. Keep little ones occupied with paint-your-own cookies and DIY kits, too! Minimum order for cookies is one dozen. Order by November 20 for pick up at the Pearland Town Center Macy’s parking lot at 5 p.m. November 22. Killen’s Barbecue, 3613 Broadway: Preorder an individual smoked turkey or full Thanksgiving spread from chef Ronnie Killen’s award-winning smokehouse. A single bird is $90, and The Killen’s Thanksgiving Meal is $199. The latter includes a smoked turkey, rolls and two quarts each of stuffing, green beans and bread pudding. Regular menu items that are also available for add-ons are boneless turkey breast for $18 per pound and any of the sides: creamed corn, mac ‘n’ cheese, baked beans and potato salad. Sides cost $6 for individual portions, $12 per pint and $16 per quart. Pick up is Wednesday, November 23 from 3 to 5 p.m. Sell-out is expected, so place your orders soon to secure your preferences.

Magnolia Cajun Comfort, 1807 Broadway: The Thanksgiving menu at this comfort-food favorite feeds four people for $125 and eight people for $250. All meals include a dinner salad with choice of dressing, plus a main-course choice from roasted Cajun turkey, honey-baked ham or roasted pork loin. Choose three sides from seven options such as Tasso Cream Corn, rice dressing, Jalapeño Bacon or regular mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole. Power Fit Meals, 5517 Broadway: This health-food kitchen not only offers regular nutrition coaching, meal planning and custom prep services, but it also has a holiday menu. The “Everything But The Bird” includes a slew of starters, sides and desserts to give your Thanksgiving dinner both flavor and substance. (Note that Power Fit’s holiday recipes are traditional, and are not intended as health foods). All items are available in multiple bulk sizes, and most are served in quarter-, half- or full-pans. Choose from three salads such as Caesar or Balsamic Berry; six appetizers such as stuffed mushrooms filled with cheeses, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and spinach; charcuterie boards loaded with deli meats, cheeses, fruits and veggies; or the customer favorite Buffalo Chicken Dip.

Sides strike a variety of flavors and textures with baked mac and cheese, corn casserole, Garlic Parmesan Carrots, roasted veggie medley, traditional turkey dressing and more. Finish your spread with the assorted breads platter, condiments like cranberry sauce and gravy, and desserts such as pumpkin or Smoked Pecan pies, fruit cobbler and caramel apples. Pearland Professional Firefighters Association, 2703 Veterans Drive: This annual smoked turkey fundraiser supports Pearland firefighters and their families. This year, funds will go towards the spouse of a firefighter who is battling cancer. Each turkey is $55.

Order online or directly from a Pearland firefighter. Place orders through November 18 for pick up November 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at 2703 Veterans Drive in Pearland. For alternate pick-up times due to extenuating circumstances, email the fundraiser contact.

Sinister BBQ: This catering company owned and operated by Francisco Avila is known for tender meats and flavorful sides. Order the Thanksgiving Platter that feeds 10 to 15 people and costs $250; pay $125 when placing your order and the remaining balance upon pick up. Contents include a whole smoked turkey, a whole smoked ham (available with a choice of no glaze, butter-sweet or Cajun glaze) and sides of corn, green beans, green bean casserole, traditional stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. There are also à la carte smoked or deep-fried turkeys for $75 each. You can also order single plates for $15 to $20, and larger quantities of the platter.

For dessert, order a Smoked Peach Cobbler that serves eight people for $20 or add onto an existing order for just $15. The cobbler is served in foil, but you can trick your guests into thinking you made it from scratch by requesting the cast iron skillet presentation. The latter requires a $15 deposit and return of the skillet. Orders are accepted through the day after Thanksgiving (yep!).
