The Cypress and Northwest Houston area is a thriving community of not only neighborhoods, but also businesses. Fortunately, when it’s time for a social luncheon or when business owners need a great place for professional meetings, there’s already an ideal place nearby. Marvino’s Italian Steakhouse at 24002 Northwest Freeway in Cypress offers a sophisticated environment with beautiful dishes, including an elegant, three-course power lunch for $30 plus beverage, tax and gratuity! August is Houston Restaurant Weeks, and those three-course lunches are only $25 — plus these generate donations to the Houston Food Bank.

For businesses, it also has three private rooms with A/V capabilities for meetings. “We have a great variety of customers who enjoy their lunch breaks at Marvino’s, including business executives, nurses and doctors,” says restaurant owner and namesake Marvin Herrera

Three-Course, $25 Lunches During Houston Restaurant Weeks

During Houston Restaurant Weeks, which runs from August 1 through September 4, diners have an opportunity to enjoy special lunches that also help the Houston Food Bank. The three-course lunches are $25 — $5 less than the regular business lunches. Appetizer selections include Fried Calamari with housemade marinara; Spinach Ravioli tossed with marinara; St. Louis BBQ Pork Ribs with Fries, Classic Caesar Salad and Soup of the Day.

The main-course choices are  an eight-ounce Chicago Berkshire Pork Chop with apple & cabernet sauvignon reduction wine sauce, sautéed broccolini and whipped potatoes; Beef Tenderloin Tips in peppercorn sauce with asparagus and whipped potatoes served alongside; an eight-ounce New York Strip with béarnaise sauce, lyonnaise potatoes, and sautéed green beans; pan-seared Las Bahamas Mahi Mahi with artichokes, tomatoes and capers with whipped potatoes and sautéed green beans alongside; and Salmon Salad with a mix of romaine and iceberg lettuces, cucumbers, feta cheese, red onions, tomatoes, pepperoncini and balsamic vinaigrette.

Enjoy Crème Brûlée, Key Lime Pie, Strawberry Cheesecake, Two Flavor Sorbet — with both mango and strawberry sorbets — or Flourless Chocolate Cake with Hazelnut Topping for dessert.

If you’re indulging in the three-course business lunch, first select from seasonal appetizers. The choices currently include Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Quinoa, Classic Caesar Salad or the Soup of the Day. Need help choosing an entrée? Herrera says, “The Norwegian Salmon and Ribeye, available for a $10 upgrade, are very popular with our customers.” Round out the meal with decadent Key Lime Pie, New York Style Cheesecake or Tiramisu

If three courses is more than you’re hungry for, there are of course plenty of à la carte choices. Indulge in Marvino’s favorites like Chicken Parmesan, Filet Mignon or Marvino’s Pastafedelini pasta mixed with lump crabmeat and jumbo shrimp in arrabbiata sauce. “My personal favorite is Marvino’s Akaushi Burger, which is made with Texas Wagyu beef,” says Herrera.

For those seeking lighter fare, choose from among salads like Classic Wedge, Spinach and Walnut and Marvino’s Signature Chop. Make any salad a fully fledged meal by adding grilled shrimp, salmon, chicken or beef tenderloin.

Business Meeting & Private Dining Rooms

Whether you’re celebrating or negotiating, Marvino’s is the premier destination in Cypress for hosting your next special event or business meeting. With three differently sized private rooms, Marvino’s can tailor your event to your capacity and ambiance needs. The most intimate room is the Cava, a wine cellar-themed meeting space that seats up to 16. Those who need to seat from 35 to 45 people can choose the Bella Vista, a private room that overlooks the entire restaurant. For large gatherings of 50 to 72 people, the Terrazza provides the feel of al fresco dining thanks to ample natural light and bay windows.

“Groups can enjoy a fantastic lunch and conduct a business meeting in the privacy of one of our private rooms. All our rooms are set up to be able to connect a laptop to a TV with speakers for conducting any kind of meeting or presentation,” says Herrera.

There is no fee for reserving a private room, but a guaranteed minimum is required. For inquiries and a quotation, visit the website or call (832) 220-7200.

“At Marvino’s, we provide exceptional service and only use the highest quality ingredients for all our dishes. All our cocktails are made from scratch and we have an extensive wine list that you will not find in any other restaurant in the area,” says Hererra.

Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and reservations are available online.
