Luby’s Now Offering Weekday Breakfast in Houston at the Uptown Location

Luby’s just rolled out a new weekday breakfast service. For now, it’s only available from 7 until 10 a.m. at its flagship location at 1743 Post Oak Boulevard. Specifically, that’s in Post Oak Plaza in uptown Houston near The Galleria. Called “Rise and Shine,” it’s a pilot program that’s being tested before it debuts at other Luby’s locations. Under chef Antoine Ware (formerly of Harold’s Restaurant & Tap Room), there’s an emphasis on quality Texas- and Houston-produced ingredients and products, such as 44 Farms beef, Katz’s Coffee and baked goods from Cake & Bacon. Biscuits and turkey sausage are being made in-house.

The menu features three dish categories. “Eggs Marks the Spot” is fairly obvious and includes the Omelet Trifecta: three eggs with the diner’s choice of add-ins. Sunshine Favorites are generous portions of selections such as Chicken ‘N’ Sweet Potato Waffle, Farmers Skillet with Andouille, huevos rancheros, French toast and avocado toast. Hearty Health is for those who like starting the day with relatively guilt-free, light breakfasts, such as fresh fruit with Greek yogurt, granola, honey and berry compote. One specialty dish is the Rise and Shine bowl with quinoa, house-made salsa, charred corn, avocado, kale and egg.

Businesses and groups can also schedule meetings during the new breakfast mealtime private dining option or have Luby’s cater breakfast to an office or other offsite location.

Those who aren’t close to Luby’s Uptown location can also consider the weekend All-You-Can-Eat-Breakfast 17 other greater Houston locations. (The Uptown location does not offer this.)

More information is available at the Luby’s Uptown location page.
