Houston Restaurants Prepare Unique To-Go Packs for Mother’s Day 2020

Phat Eatery take-out feast

After a very long six weeks, restaurants were finally allowed to re-open dining rooms —at a vastly lowered capacity of 25% guest occupancy — on May 1. While some reopened, with the total number of coronavirus cases still climbing in Houston, some owners are choosing a more cautious approach — and so are many Houston diners.

Here’s the good news: the current situation has spurred restaurants to put together many wonderful Mother’s Day takeout packages. Some are not only multicourse meals but also include add-ons such as mimosas and flower arrangements. Below are some great to-go selections.  Place an order, then head curbside to pick up great goodies for Mom.

Downtown

The Rustic, 1836 Polk: The ready-to-cook Mother’s Day meal kits include a choice of entrée, baby kale salad with lemon dressingsweet potatoes with salted maple butter, steamed green beans and jalapeño spoon bread.
