Though you may not be able to currently dine in at your favorite restaurants in the Galleria and Tanglewood areas, many are offering takeout, curbside pickup and delivery. Ordering from one of the restaurants below is a good way to take a break from cooking while continuing to support local restaurants during this difficult time. If you don’t see one of your beloved eateries, check out the websites and social media.

Ninfa’s Uptown, 1700 Post Oak, (346) 335-2404: The Uptown outpost of this Houston classic famous for its fajitas and tacos al carbon is offering its full menu for takeout and curbside pickup. Call to place your order.

Adair Kitchen, 5161 San Felipe, (713) 623-6100: With the new emphasis on delivery and pick up, this American-style eatery introduced a menu of family-style dinners featuring grilled pesto salmon, pecan crusted baked chicken, lean turkey meatloaf, green chicken enchiladas and Greek penne pasta. Each entrée comes with your choice of two homemade sides. Check out the curbside menu, which includes breakfast starting at 8 a.m., then call in your order. Delivery available via Uber Eats, Door Dash and Favor.

Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys, 4520 San Felipe, (713) 623-4464: Open since 1962, this classic Houston sandwich shop has adapted to 58 years of ups and downs in the Bayou City. It’s adapting once again by offering curbside pickup. Call in your order between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and call again when you arrive. Alternately, order delivery via DoorDash or GrubHub.

BB’s Tex-Orleans, 6154 Westheimer, (713) 339-2566: Craving some Cajun? The Galleria outpost of this mini-chain, which serves a Texas twist on Southwest Louisiana fare, is offering a limited to-go menu that includes fun family packs. To order, call or visit the website between 11 a.m. and midnight.

Blanco’s Taco + Tequilla, 5115 Westheimer, (346) 250-1900: Get delivery through DoorDash with no delivery fees on all orders of $15 or more through March 31. You can request a no-contact delivery with the DoorDash app at checkout. Call to place an order for curbside pickup.

The Capital Grille, 5365 Westheimer, (713) 623-4600: The Galleria-area restaurant is offering American steakhouse fare such as Bone-In Dry-Aged New York Strip and Roasted Chicken Breast with Sherry Jus for takeout. Call to place your order.

Christie’s Seafood & Steaks, 6029 Westheimer, (713) 978-6563: Open since 1917, Houston’s oldest restaurant knows a thing or two about weathering ever-changing business environments. During this current crisis, they have switched to curbside pickup. Order the famous fried shrimp, plus other favorites and cocktail kits online, then swing by and get your order. They even have a convenient drive-through. Delivery available via DoorDash.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, 5061 Westheimer, (713) 597-6714: Get a steak for takeout or curbside pickup and receive 10-percent off. All to-go orders should be place via phone.

Etoíle Cuisine et Bar, 1101-11 Uptown Park, (832) 668-5808: Chef/owner Philippe Verpiand has created a limited curbside, takeout and delivery menu, and it can be viewed online. Service is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. There is a 15% delivery fee to help support the Etoile staff members, who are personally handling deliveries.

Ginza Japanese Restaurant, 5868 San Felipe, (713) 785-0332: Open since 1975, this Houston institution is offering takeout and curbside pickup. Call to place your order. Delivery is available via DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats and Postmates.

Kenny & Ziggy’s, 2327 Post Oak, (713) 871-8883: Get a much needed deli fix and bowl of chicken soup with Kenny & Ziggy’s new curbside service at both the original Galleria location and the one near Rice Village. Delivery is also available through both the restaurant’s own team and several home independent delivery services. Visit the online ordering page to get started. For Passover or other family gatherings, check out the national service Goldbely to have meals and dishes shipped.

Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market, 1111-05 Uptown Park, (713) 487-1010: Need a sandwich break while you’re working from home? Order online for take out or get delivery via DoorDash, Postmates or Favor from this Southern California import.

Merus Grill, 1180-1 Uptown Park, (346) 299-5775: Merus Grill is offering contemporary American fare for curbside pickup, take out and delivery. Call in your order and don’t forget to ask about their specials such as a free dessert with an order of two entrées.

Molina’s Cantina, 7901 Westheimer, (713) 782-0861: The Tex-Mex favorite for enchiladas, tacos and more is offering online ordering, curbside pickup and delivery via GrubHub and DoorDash from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Just a few of the offerings include a dozen tamales for $12.95 and dinners with cheese, beef or chicken enchiladas, Mexican rice, refried beans, chips and salsa that serve two for $39.95, or six (with a dozen enchiladas) for $69.95. Beef or chicken taco packs for six are $32.95 or 12 for $64.95. Orders over $100 can be delivered directly, depending on distance. For these, use the catering form.

North Italia, 1700 Post Oak, (281) 605-4030: Looking for tasty takes on Italian classics such as White Truffle Garlic Bread and Crispy Chicken Pesto? Order takeout by calling in your order or get deliver via DoorDash.

Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, 5839 Westheimer, (713) 780-7352: This Galleria institution is known for its great steaks and swanky atmosphere. Bring home the steaks (and the rest of the menu) with curbside pickup Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.

El Patio aka “Club No Minors”, 6444 Westheimer, (713) 780-0410: You may not be able to sit on the patio, but you can bring the patio home. This old-school Tex-Mex joint is offering curbside pickup, takeout and direct delivery within a five-male radius. Call in order your order and don’t forget to ask about their specials on crispy tacos and enchiladas by the dozen. Order a $100 or more and receive a $20 gift card.

Pepper Twins, 5161 San Felipe, (832) 831-2163: You can now get your fix of healthy Sichuan-style Chinese curbside. Just call in your order. Orders are also available for direct delivery within a five-mile radius.

Piatto Ristorante, 4925 West Alabama, (713) 871-9722: Looking for family-style Italian to feed your family while you are enjoying time together? This Galleria establishment is offering meals that feed four for $45 via curbside pickup. Call to place your takeout order or for delivery within five miles. For longer distances, use UberEats.

Songkran Thai Kitchen, 1101-08 Uptown Park, (713) 993-9096: Pickup, curbside pickup and delivery are all available for this elegant Thai restaurant in Uptown Park. There are many dish selections, including sesame chicken, Wagyu Beef in Green Curry, whole red snapper and Crispy Duck in Red Curry, just to name a few. There’s currently a gift certificate special, too: a $100 is discounted by 20% to $80. Delivery is available via DoorDash, Grubhub, UberEats and Favor, and Songkran Thai will also deliver for free to these zip codes: 77056, 77055, 77057, 77024 and 77019. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and reopens from 5:30 to 9 p.m. for dinner on weekdays; on weekends the hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Sweet Paris, 2701 Drexel, (346) 867-1157: Open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., this Galleria-area crêperia is offering French street food for curbside pickup and takeout. Call or place your order online. Delivery is available from Favor, UberEats, PostMates, DoorDash, and GrubHub.

Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen, 6401 Woodway, (713) 334-7295: Sylvia Caesares’ Mexican restaurants is open for takeout and curbside delivery from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Some of the dishes to enjoy include the award-winning enchiladas, mesquite-grilled fajitas (beef and chicken), tacos, chalupas, quesoguacamole, chocolate tres leches and more. For larger groups, check into the family-style option. Customers can call, place an order and have it brought to the car curbside. (Some menu restrictions may limit the available dishes available.) Los Tios Mexican Restaurant, 5161 San Felipe, (713) 623-6103: In addition to fajitas, this Tex-Mex establishment has a created a family-style dinner menu of customer favorites. Place your order online, then call when you arrive for curbside pickup. For delivery, use UberEats, DoorDash or Favor.

Zabak’s Mediterranean Café, 5901 Westheimer, (713) 977-7676: Craving falafel, gyro, shawarma and other Mediterranean staples? Order takeout from Zabak’s by calling in your order. Delivery available through DoorDash, UberEats and Favor.
