Enjoy Rainbow Lodge At Home Two Ways With Virtual Wine Tastings And Special Menus

Right now, Rainbow Lodge has two fun and delicious ways to bring its elegant wild game fare and exceptional service to your home. The dining room may be closed, but Executive Chef Mark Schmidt and Beverage Director Marc Borel are here to provide the same quality experiences you expect. 

The popular monthly wine tastings are continuing, but with a new, creative twist! Instead of sipping and strolling onsite, Borel is leading Live Virtual Wine Tastings via Facebook Live to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Each evening, he’ll be joined by featured wine professionals. The first event is on April 28 at 5 p.m. and features winemaker Lindsay Woodard of Retour Wines in Willamette Valley, Oregon. To participate, simply order a wine-tasting-at-home kit and pick it up at the restaurant. Each kit is $115 and includes a bottle of 2014 Retour Pinot Noir and Chef Schmidt’s take-and-bake Wild Game Hunter’s Pie. The meal comes with instructions for cooking; simply prepare ahead of time and tune in for a remote dinner party! 

To attend the virtual tasting, guests should visit the live event page at 5 p.m. sharp. To order your kit, call (713) 861-8666. Pick up is available between noon and 8 pm on Sunday, April 26, Monday, April 27 or Tuesday, April 28.

We also have a fun menu of prix fixe collections and a la carte entrees. Choose from three- and four-course menus that cost $49 to $99 each and feed a minimum of two adults; additional servings are available for a per-person charge. The menus include fresh greens, hearty mains, savory sides and decadent desserts. The $49 menu features Caesar Salad, Artichoke Chicken and choice of two desserts while the $99 menu offers one Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Wild Game Mixed Grill for two with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, and choice of two desserts. Create your own feast by combining a la carte items like Little Gem Lettuce Wedge Salad, Blackened Gulf Snapper, Orecchiette Pasta, Grilled Elk Chop, Fish And Chips and lots more. To order, call (713) 861-8666 and pay by phone. When you are ready to pick up, pull through the valet entrance and your order will be brought out to you. Each pickup order includes a $20 gift card for food ordered during your next dine-in visit!

Rainbow Lodge is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please note that a  10% service fee is added to each order to help support the staff.
