On the heels of being named “Best Burger in America” by Good Morning America, Rapper and entrepreneur Bun B (Bernard Freeman) and chefs Mike Pham and Fernando Valladares are bringing their Trill Burgers pop-up to an indoor dining room setting for the first time. Trill Burgers is taking over Harold’s at 350 West 19th in the Heights on Saturday, October 22.
“We are elated to be host of the first dine-in Trill Burgers pop-up! It’s an honor for us to host the “best burger in America” at Harold’s, and especially neat that Trill Burgers is from our beloved Houston,” said Harold’s owner, Alli Jarrett. “I met Bun B this past Saturday at the Texas Restaurant Association – Houston Golden Fork dinner. We took a picture and I invited him to come to Harold’s sometime. [Trill Burgers’ partner and PR representative] Nick Scurfield and I had brunch Sunday, and Nick tossed out the idea. We met with our respective staff members Monday, and here we go!”
Considering the Trill Burgers pop-up and Harold’s features, which include a downstairs bar, upstairs restaurant, second-level terrace and five flat-screen televisions, it should be a prime environment for watching the Astros beat the Yankees in game three of the American League Championship playoffs. The game starts at 4:07 p.m. Central, and considering recent history, may or may not be finished on the same day.
Trill Burgers, on the other hand, will be served for both dine in and to go from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The OG Trill Burger features deeply seared, smashed-style patties made with 44 Farms Texas beef. Rounding out the burger is “Trill sauce” and pickles on a Martin’s Famous potato roll. The Grilled Onion Burger has addition of thinly sliced and deeply caramelized onions. There’s also the Vegan Smashburger and seasoned fries. To drink alongside, Harold’s is creating special Trill- and UKG-inspired cocktails on tap, and beer, wine and non-alcoholic selections are also available. Like the food, drinks are available for dine in or to go.
