To help slow the spread of Coronavirus, the dining rooms of Houston-area restaurants have been shut down since mid-March. However, many have transitioned to takeout, curbside pickup and delivery. This gives diners the opportunity to take a break from cooking and support local businesses during this especially difficult time. With federal relief funds for small businesses quickly drying up, ordering takeout continues to be one of the best ways to support your favorite restaurants and help ensure they survive this crisis.

Below, you will find a link to our ever-growing, citywide list as well as links to our individual neighborhood lists, our list of restaurants offering breakfasts, and our convenient interactive map. We are adding to these lists regularly but if you don’t see one of your favorites be sure to check its website and social media or give them a call.

Though many area restaurants are working with third-party delivery services, please consider opting for takeout or curbside pickup or ordering from a restaurant that is offering direct delivery. The fees that third-party delivery services charge significantly cut into restaurant cash flow. Though this is an issue during normal times, it is particularly problematic now because restaurants are struggling to pay employees, leases, vendors and utilities.

Now more than ever — especially because many independent restaurants received no emergency government funding — it’s important to patronize these businesses until the order closing restaurant dining rooms and bars has been lifted.
