Fuel the family with New York style pizza at Dolce & Cannoli inside Memorial City Mall. The inviting eatery has a vast menu of Italian favorites, and this week, you can get the Family Special which includes two pizzas with unlimited toppings and two sodas or bottled waters for $20. Pizza selections include BBQ Chicken with BBQ sauce, cheese, chicken and smoked bacon; Lasagna Pizza topped with ricotta, sauce, beef, Italian sausage and cheese; Wine Lovers covered in olive oil, cheese, prosciutto, salami, figs and arugula; or the Margherita loaded with sauce, cheese, tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil. Save room for the namesake cannolis developed by Chef Drew Rogers who was featured on TLC’s show Bakery Boss (note that a separate charge applies for the cannolis and pastries).

Dining out with kids in tow can be healthy and tasty, really! Island Grill at 979 Bunker Hill delivers with an American-Mediterranean menu full of textures, colors and flavors that meets the selective demands of customers of all ages. For an exceptional experience, visit American Girl Bistro, located in Memorial City Mall and part of the only American Girl Store in Houston. Try an early after-school dinner until 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday or enjoy an evening meal until 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Family Night Out Week specials include starters like Artichoke-Spinach Dip, Fruit Fondue and Crostini. Next, dig into entrées like Cheese Pizza, Chicken Tenders, Quinoa Salad or Caprese Pasta with Grilled Chicken.

Dine out tonight and have dinner for tomorrow, too, with Today & Tomorrow Pastas at Maggiano’s Little Italy. Order a Classic or Specialty pasta dish and receive a Classic pasta to go. Prices start at $13.99. Classic pastas include Fettuccine Alfredo, Mom’s Lasagna with crumbled meatballs & sausage, ricotta and marinara sauce and Four Cheese Ravioli. Specialty pastas include Our Famous Rigatoni “D” full of herb-roasted chicken, mushrooms, caramelized onions and marsala cream sauce, Braised Beef al Forno and Eggplant Parmesan.

Ciro’s Italian Grill at 9755 Katy Freeway is a cozy kitchen that practically exudes warm family vibes. Through the week, families can enjoy live music on the patio nightly and take the kids to play on The Lawn at Memorial City either before or after the meal. Stop in during Family Night Out and start with kid-friendly favorites such as fried mozzarella or calamari before sharing a pizza with a choice of three ingredients for $13, or generous portions of lasagna. On Saturday, September 28, there is a special performance by Cirque La Vie at 7 p.m. on The Lawn. Enjoy the tastes and energy of Italy in the heart of Memorial City.
