For another flavorful journey, visit longtime Houston favorite Churrascos at 947 Gessner (second floor). This South American-themed restaurant is a go-to for unique dishes in a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. During Date Night Week, you and your date can choose from two different deals — or make it an indulgent few days and visit for both! Stop in for Steak Night on September 18 to enjoy an eight-ounce filet with a choice of mild onion jalapeño crema, spicy black bean sauce or mushroom & spanish sherry sauce for $15.95. During Steak Night, selected cocktails and wines by the glass are just $5.95 each. 

The following night features a Wine Dinner on September 19. This five-course meal is paired with wines from Argentina and is $59.95 per person. Sample courses include Ceviche Tradicional, which is lime juice-marinated fresh fish seasoned with Peruvian limo chili, fresh cilantro, onion and cancha paired with Zuccardi ‘Serie A’ Torrontes, Salta; Taquitos De Puerco, which is smoked pork belly heightened with roasted pineapple glaze, costar de queso, pickled onion and cilantro paired with Clos de los Siete Red Blend, Uco Valley; and Lomito A La Pimienta, which is grilled beef filet served with tempura mushroom, pisco peppercorn sauce & red skin potato purée paired with Bodega El Esteco ‘Don David’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Calchaqui Valley.
