Stay at Home Wine Dinner at Bistro 555
October 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm$69
Bistro 555, the new French bistro in West Houston, will be having its debut Stay At Home Wine Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 22.
Through the genius of imagination, technology and ingenuity, the Energy Corridor’s Bistro 555 and the unique seller of boutique French wines, French Country Wines, have joined together to host a three-course Stay-At-Home Rhone Valley Wine Dinner.
How does it work in these pandemic times?
Simply call the restaurant and reserve the number of dinners needed. And then, on Thursday, Oct. 22, drive to the restaurant for curbside pickup of both food and wines. Set a festive table at home – or wear French pajamas if you want. Follow the simple reheating instructions, and then at 7 p.m. join all your fellow wine dinner partners, your hosts and a possible winemaker or two in France, all via Zoom on the computer.
Opening its doors Sept. 15, the new Bistro 555’s owner Genevieve Guy has created the menu and French Country Wines owner, Jean-Philippe Guy, has paired the wines to go with it. Each course is paired with four ounces of the selected wine per person. The cost is $69 plus tax and gratuity.
Payment, pick-up arrangements and Zoom instructions can be handled when making reservations.
Bistro 555 is located at 13616 Memorial Drive near Wilcrest. Its name comes from its ever-changing, three-course menu that features five items to choose from under each course. The restaurant has opened its dining room and patio for limited seating Monday through Saturday but also sells its dishes for curbside pick-up and for delivery in the immediate area. The wine dinner is for pick up only. Call (713) 827-8008 or go to the website.
