Étoile’s March 2019 Charitable Beneficiary is “Music Doing Good”
Every month, executive chef Philippe Verpiand, who owns Étoile at 1101-11 Uptown Park Blvd in the Galleria area (and Brasserie du Parc in downtown Houston) with his wife Monica Bui, creates two special prix fixe menus — one for dinner and one for weekend brunch — to benefit a designated charity with a portion of the sales. For all of March 2019, the restaurant selected Music Doing Good, a nonprofit arts organization that inspires and transforms lives through innovative, music-based programming and performance experiences.
The Houston organization has four outreach programs that bring music to children in Houston who would otherwise not have access. The programs use music to stimulate minds, open hearts and ignite imagination. Music Doing Good touches the lives of thousands of individuals annually.
The charitable prix-fixe dinner menu includes four courses with a choice for each course. The cost is $65 per person and $7 goes to Music Doing Good. The three-course brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays sells for $29 per person and provides $4 to the program for each one sold.
The next charitable beneficiary is Child Advocates in April.
