Drinking with Dusty – Fall Beers at Hay Merchant

The next installment of Drinking with Dusty with Hay Merchant General Manager Dusty Brittain features some perfect fall brews from the Hay Merchant cellar.
- 2014 Avery Rumpkin (12oz): Monstrous pumpkin ale, full of spicy gourd goodness, aged in fine fresh rum barrels to add suggestions of delicate oak and candied molasses.
- Prairie Bible Belt (12oz): A collaboration with Evil Twin. This is Evil Twin’s Even More Jesus aged on coffee, vanilla, chilies, cacao nibs, and whiskey. Thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, aged in Heaven Hill whiskey barrels for between seven and nine months.
- 2012 J.W. Lee Port Barrel Aged Harvest (9.3 oz): Brewed with the first hops of their harvest and British malt. Each vintage brings different flavors, which then evolve as they age. A cult following among ale enthusiasts. Rich flavors of molasses, toffee, sherry, port, and stone fruits.
$60 includes Hay Merchant sous chef Lucas McKinney‘s housemade turkey jerkey. Pick up your beers at Hay Merchant (1100 Westheimer) on Saturday, November 21 between noon and 5pm.
