Dominique Crenn, Dawn Burrell and Sarah Troxell host Ooh-La-La Happy Hour Cooking Class for I’ll Have What She’s Having

“Ooh-la-la! Happy Hour” with Chef Dawn Burrell and Sarah Troxell + special appearance from renown chef Dominique Crenn.
The event will be held via Zoom on Thursday, November 5 from 5:30pm – 7:45pm. Tickets are $150 and include all the ingredients needed to compose hors-d’oeuvres by James Beard semi-finalist Chef Dawn Burrell + zero-proof cocktails from two-time regional Speed Rack champion Sarah Troxell. Each kit will feed up to FOUR people! Think Duo of gougeres and roasted mushroom and chestnut tartine – vegetarian options also available upon request.
Proceeds from the night’s class will directly benefit IHWSH efforts to provide free mammograms for Houston industry women on 12/8 via The Rose (www.therose.org), an organization striving to “save lives through quality breast health services, advocacy and access to care for all.”
Three Michelin-Star Chef and recent Breast Cancer Survivor Dominique Crenn will be joining the event promptly at 7:15pm to chat with event attendees and converse via a live Q&A. “Dominique Crenn is my hero,” says chef Dawn. “She is the epitome of a badass. She is a ray of positivity amidst adversity and she gives new meaning to culinary arts. Her creativity is astounding. She gives new meaning to the word ‘champion.
“I am proud to work with Speed Rack and IHWSH in the fight against breast cancer, improving access to care – especially for women in our industry – as well as funding research for better treatments. Prevention is also key – and diet is a major part of this. In this class, I am excited to show how to pair delicious, seasonal, zero-proof beverages with Chef Dawn’s menu” states Sarah Troxell, bar manager of Nobie’s and Toasted Coconut.
