Backyard Grilling Class at Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen
June 5 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$65
From Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen:
For anyone who spent last year’s Independence Day over a grill, serving up fire-scorched meat, crispy black hot dogs and vegetables that resembled charcoal briquettes, the thought of a declaration of independence from ever doing it again may be strong, and from your guests, very welcome.
Fortunately, with the 4th of July only a few months away, there’s hope for everyone.
Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchens’ owner Sylvia Casares is ready to spread a little grilling knowledge Saturday, June 5, with a hands-on, fun grilling class to be held from 1 to 4 p.m. For the backyard food annihilator, this is a chance to improve grilling skills in South Texas fashion. The class includes hands-on ways to grill beef fajitas and make Sylvia’s own family potato salad as well as flour tortillas, salsa, Mexican style rice and bean soup. The three-hour class concludes with everyone sitting down to eat.
The cost is $65 per person. To register, go online at www.sylviasenchiladas.com, or call 832-230-3842. The class will be held at Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen at 1140 Eldridge Parkway.
And once you’ve mastered the skills you’ll learn from this class, come back on Saturday, June 19, to learn all about making border-style enchiladas.
