A Honky Tonk Anniversary at Goodnight Charlie’s
December 22, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 11:59 pm
Goodnight Charlie’s Celebrates One Year with A Full Day of Live Music December 22
Houston’s been two stepping and honky tonking at Goodnight Charlie’s for a year, and that’s something worth celebrating. Goodnight Charlie’s will host a Honky Tonk Anniversary Party on December 22 with live music all day and an anniversary cocktail menu with plenty of drink specials. Chefs Felipe Riccio and Adam Garcia will roast a whole hog and will serve $1 roast pig and trompo tacos, in addition to the regular menu. As always, there’s no cover, but guests can reserve booths (which come with tacos and booze. See pricing below).
1-3PM – Brunch at High Noon with Eric Woodring
Best known as part of the “Texgrass” band The Recollection that frequents our stage, Eric Woodring specializes in playing Texas Country Music using traditional bluegrass instruments. His deep, soulful voice is a perfect complement to traditional country and Americana music. He’ll be on stage—he’s there every Saturday!—and will host a songwriter swap with another Texas-based singer/songwriter to share songs and Texas stories, while our guests enjoy Texas brunch staples.
3:30-5:30PM – William and the Texas Starlight
William and the Texas Starlight is a classic country music project led by Houston-based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter William vonReichbauer. He has become a favorite at Goodnight Charlie’s for his high-energy renditions of country and western staples.
6-8PM – Garrett T. Capps
San Antonio native Garrett T. Capps’ latest release featured “Born in San Antone,” a hometown anthem that reached a wide consciousness by opening the Season 3 premiere of Showtime’s “Billions.” His music is filled with influences of honky tonk, punk rock and folk, as he is always experimenting with ways to reimagine a traditional country and western sound.
8:30-10:30PM – Mayeux and Broussard
Mayeux and Broussard is an Austin-based country/blues/Americana act, who blend Red Dirt Texas country and swampy blues into funky and fun western gold. Mayeux and Broussard are no strangers to small-town honky Tonks and dancehalls, playing with a gritty intensity that makes them stand out from most of the Texas country music scene.
11PM-1AM – Folk Family Revival
Despite their notoriety, they are still four kids from Magnolia, Texas, that got together to play good music. Their sound is a throwback to a time when Southern Rock and psychedelic music dominated the airwaves, creating a country rock and roll that defies labels. Folk Family Revival is making their debut at Goodnight Charlie’s.
Goodnight Charlie’s has five large booths that hold 6-8 people that can be reserved throughout the party.
3:30-8PM – $150 per booth, includes a Champagne bottle of Miller Hi Life and 12 tacos
8:30PM-1AM – $250 per booth, includes a bottle of June’s Rosé with 12 tacos
