Move over Jack and Coke: Taco Cabana’s frozen Jack and Dr Pepper is the adult beverage of the summer. Guests 21 and up can enjoy the frosty drink for just $4 all-day, every day (dine-in only). The frozen Jack has the right amount of sweetness from the Dr Pepper and a kick of Jack Daniels, which makes it perfect for patio sipping. For those wanting to take it up a notch, a “hitchhiker shot” of Jack Daniels can be added for an extra $2. Even at six bucks, this drink is a bargain. (At Taco Cabana, a hitchhiker shot is served in a little plastic shot glass that literally hangs off the side of the drink cup.)

In addition to the frozen Jack, Taco Cabana has launched new summer dishes, including the Totchos: tater tot nachos topped with queso, bacon, roasted jalapeños, sour cream and salsa ranch. A medium order costs $5.69 but through July 21, Taco Cabana is running a “Tots & Shots” promotion for $9. It includes a medium Totchos and two hitchhiker shots of Fireball, Sauza Gold or Jack Daniels.

Taco Cabana is also partnering with Dr Pepper for a “Sip Into Summer Sweepstakes” running through July 28. Each 20-ounce drink will have two peel-off stickers with chances to win a variety of food prizes. “We’re always trying to think of new ways to engage our guests and the Sip Into Summer Sweepstakes seemed like a really fun way to mix it up,” said Chuck Locke, President of Taco Cabana.

All new menu items are available for a limited time at participating locations across Texas.
