World Series Specials and Watch Destinations
Brennan’s of Houston, 3300 Smith: The Brennan’s team has transformed the patio into the ultimate World Series viewing space, complete with a large projector screen and a new 7-7-7 Courtyard Bar menu by executive chef Joe Cervantez. Guests can enjoy off-the-menu Chili Cheese Fries—a home run when it comes to bar bites—in addition to Blackened Tuna Tacos, Jumbo Lump Crab Rolls, Smoked Pork Belly Corn Dogs, Hot Hot Oysters, Crispy Acadian Boudin Balls, and Shrimp Po’ Boys.
Osso & Kristalla, 1515 Texas: View the game just steps away from Minute Maid Park at Astros owner Jim Crane’s modern-Italian trattoria. Specials include half-price burgers, $5 Italian sausage dogs, $3 draft beers and $5 canned craft beers.
Balls Out Burger, 1603 Durham: The burger joint is taking $1 off all Saint Arnold beers (the only brand it serves) during the games.
FM Kitchen and Bar, 1112 Shepherd: FM Kitchen & Bar is selling $1 orange and blue Jell-O shots and a hot dog paired with 8th Wonder Brewery’s Dome Faux’m for $5 during all World Series games. Watch the game inside on any of the five flatscreen TVs, their brand new 100-inch projection screen or outdoors on the 3,500-square-foot patio.
Presidio, 911 West 11th: The Heights-area restaurant and casual hangout has drink and food specials all night and is projecting the game on the patio.
The Raven Tower at White Oak Music Hall, 310 North Street: Raven Tower is playing the World Series games on all screens (10 total) and has happy hour specials during each game. The drink menu includes Houston pints for $2 off as well as $2 Astros Blue Jello Shots, and $5 Orange Crush Frozens!
Goode Company’s Armadillo Palace, 5015 Kirby: Enjoy a pre-game cocktail and soak in the fall weather on the Armadillo Palace patio before heading to the game. Alternately, have a nightcap at the Orange Blossom Bar for a post-game treat. The charming new hangout, located just inside the Armadillo Palace Dance Hall, is open until midnight.
Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, 4310 Westheimer: This chic whiskey haven is featuring all Texas draft beers for $5 during World Series games and a cocktail appropriately named Orbit Juice. It’s an Astros-inspired take on a Paloma with tequila, citrus, bitters and grapefruit that’s only $8 during the games. The World Series is shown on all TVs with the sound system booming!
Arnaldo Richards’ Picos, 3601 Kirby: Arnaldo Richards’ Picos will host a watch party during each World Series away game. Guests will enjoy all day happy hour drink specials and $20 fajitas for two with all the fixings. The special is available in the bar, lounge, and patio.
Evo Taco, 12637 Westheimer: The west side gourmet taco shop is featuring $2 craft beers on draft to go alongside internationally inspired creations, including banh mi tacos and southern-style with chicken fried steak. Check out the full menu online.
Dish Society, Katy and Memorial locations: Wear your Astros gear to receive 10-percent off during the World Series. Both the Katy and the brand new Memorial locations boast big screens and there are plenty of cozy seats on the patios and in the bar.
Good Dog Houston, two locations: Pick up the Astros “dog of the day” at and wash it back with a half-price Houston brew. They have over 20 Texas beers on tap and a great selection of wine as well. Owner Daniel Caballero also says, “We’ll have our projector and big screen set up outside the rest of the games at our Montrose location.”
Helen Greek Food and Wine & Helen in the Heights, two locations: Both locations offer half-price bottles during game time.
Max’s Wine Dive, two locations: Both the Washington Avenue and Fairview restaurants feature happy hour food and beer specials all week, as well as 15-percent off select bottles of wine during the games.
Molina’s Cantina, two locations: Molina’s Cantina is offering $5 house margaritas during all World Series games, which patrons can watch at the bar at both the Westheimer and Bellaire locations. The margarita is a classic blend of 100-percent agave tequila, fresh lime juice and Triple Sec and can be served on the rocks or frozen, rimmed with salt or without.
Ooh La La Dessert Boutique, three locations: While not a watch spot, these are too cute to not include. Baseball fans who want some sugar to fuel them through the games might as well layer on the good juju with Astros-themed cookies. Ooh La La’s shortbreads are just the thing for tailgating, watch parties or even while stuck at a desk and sneaking the game between emails. Call the nearest location for details.
