Houston-Area Restaurants & Bars Closed And Open In Wake Of Devastating Hurricane Harvey

Restaurants and bars: Please email updates about Monday, August 28!

This list is not being updated as of Monday, August 28. Please see our Monday List of open restaurants and grocery stores instead for the most up-to-date information.

UPDATED SUNDAY, AUGUST 27, 6:32 p.m.: In the wake of devastating flooding occurring across the Houston area, this list is currently restaurants and bars for which we do or do not have a status update. We have not heard from most yet. Few places are open. Until we specifically update a place, call ahead to check status. For now, the advice of authorities is still to stay home. Call 911 if there is a life-threatening emergency. Officials have asked Houstonians to not tie up 911 with calls if life is not in immediate danger.

These are the reports we’ve had so far on which Greater Houston-area restaurants and bars will be closed or open as Hurricane Harvey comes ashore.

We’re posting updates as they are received, but we do recommend calling places listed as open to ensure nothing has changed. Because this is a transient weather situation, most owners do not yet know if they will open for Sunday. For places remaining open, we have noted specials and other important information in red.

Here are some useful Twitter accounts to follow for staying updated on Hurricane Harvey:
