Join My Table and Houston Food Finder For Sunday Supper!

The people at My Table and Houston Food Finder have a lot in common, including a passion for introducing readers to restaurants that we think are simply top notch.

We are proud to announce our first joint dinner for readers is at Chef Adison Lee’s Japanese restaurant, KUU on Sunday, December 4 at 5 p.m. It is going to be a wonderful way take a break from the frenetic holiday season. (It also gets dinner out of the way early so readers can prepare for the week ahead.) Chef Lee’s fine Japanese fare will also be a welcome respite from all the heavy party food that seems to be everywhere this time of year.

It’s an opportunity for readers to meet chefs, broaden their dining horizons and experience some of the best that Houston has to offer. The benefit to chefs is getting to talk about their food to active members of the dining public who really cares about what they eat. Neither My Table nor Houston Food Finder profits from this endeavor. It’s simply something we want to facilitate as part of the dining community.

A six-course dinner will be served for $65 plus tax and optional wine pairings for $35. (Tax and gratuity is not included.) The meal will be a mix of hot and cold dishes, including a beautiful dessert. The pairings will be selected by KUU sommelier and director of operations, Ricky Cheung, whose wine and sake list recently earned an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator.

Call KUU at (713) 461-1688 and ask to reserve for the Houston Food Finder/My Table dinner. Only 31 spots are available. When reserving, please inform the restaurant if you do not care to eat sushi that includes raw fish.

KUU is located in the Gateway Memorial Center (just across Gessner from Memorial City Mall, so there are shopping possibilities before dinner, too) at 947 Gessner. There’s a free parking garage onsite.

We look forward to spending time with our readers in person and hope for this to be the first in a series. See you there!
